The latest tenant to take office space in a historic County Durham building has edged it close to capacity,

Posturite, the UK’s largest provider of ergonomic solutions for business, is the latest business to move into the Manor House. The company, which has headquarters in East Sussex, has rented a suite of offices, representing its first permanent base in the north. The move has led to the creation of 10 new jobs in the local area. Founded in 1991, Posturite carries out in excess of 17,500 ergonomic assessments on individuals in the workplace each year, through its fully employed network of experts, many of whom are qualified physios, ergonomists and sports science professionals. The majority of the company’s customers are businesses looking to boost the health, wellbeing and productivity of their employees. Clients come from a diverse background and from throughout the UK and Ireland, including 75% of the FTSE 100, law firms, central and local government, universities, media companies, utilities and SMEs.
Geoff Thompson, Posturite’s UK sales director, comments:
“We are delighted to have office space in the Manor House as it fits with our company culture perfectly. We wanted our new staff to be based in a facility similar to our head office in East Sussex, and this building is ideal. It’s also exciting to be part of a growing business community here in Sedgefield, with the Manor House playing a central role in that.”
Jane Skilbeck of Manor House 1707 Ltd adds:
“We’re delighted to welcome Posturite to the Manor House. When we launched this building as a business centre, we were convinced of its potential, but we were not sure how quickly the offices would be occupied. It’s fantastic to see this place so busy only a year later, not only with our tenants, but also thanks to the increasing number of events that we host in the Old Court Room. The 40 staff who now work from here are also using the local amenities, shops and restaurants, contributing to Sedgefield’s economy on a daily basis, and I am confident that the last available offices will also be occupied soon.”
