The Executive Club Purpose
The Executive Group has been created to build strong and lasting relationships between members, encouraging the sharing of knowledge, experience and best practice. Through open discussion and collaboration, members are able to benefit from peer support, mentoring opportunities and trusted professional connections with like-minded business leaders.
Regular meetings and discussions create a valuable forum for members to stay informed and engaged with the latest regional, national and global business issues. From economic trends and policy changes to industry developments and leadership challenges, The Executive Group encourages informed discussion and shared insight between experienced professionals.
Our members are The Executive Group’s biggest advocates, regularly praising the quality of the events, conversations and connections created through the network. Members have described The Executive Group as “simply the best in the North East” and something they would “recommend in a heartbeat” to other business leaders looking to expand their network and gain valuable support.
The Executive Club Eligibility
We provide an informal environment for senior, director-level, decision-makers only – something we strictly adhere to:
One representative per company
Any substitutions must be at director level
Larger and corporate organisations are eligible
Smaller companies with a strong regional profile may also be considered.
Events are a strictly non-sales environment; the emphasis is on enabling and growing relationships for future business opportunities.
The Group will be limited to 50 member companies to ensure relationships can develop. Attendance is typically between thirty and forty at each event.
Our members’ words
Martin Thompson
Thorn Academy of Light Manager, Thorn Lighting Limited
"As a member of Durham Business Club, it gives Thorn Lighting great pleasure to have our brand more well known within our own backyard, and for us to learn about other regional businesses and places.
The Durham Business Club networking is very good, with a genuine feelgood factor running through the members."
Jane Reynolds
Business Development Manager, Northstar Ventures
"The Durham Business Club meetings are well structured and offer an opportunity to grow business awareness in the County Durham region.
With a choice of events taking place morning, afternoon and evening, at a wide range of venues, it is a focus for networking.
It is an objective of Northstar Ventures to raise awareness of the North East (ERDF) Innovation Fund and the North East Social Investment Fund and the Club continues to offer that opportunity.
A great place to make those connections that are so important to business."
