SUMMARY:DBC invites you to 'Carry on the Coronation' at Beamish with Urban BASE
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join us\, and what better time to visit\, than the week of the King’s Coronation\, while the bunting is still flying over Beamish The Living Museum of the North. The centrepiece of the Remaking Beamish project is the reconstructed 1950s Town – meaning that alongside existing attractions depicting life in the early 19th and 20th centuries\, Beamish once again includes a period within living memory. The town’s first exhibit\, Leasingthorne Colliery Welfare Hall and Community Centre\, opened in 2019\, will be our base for the evening. \nAs well as the Welfare Hall\, the 1950s terrace is now open and includes a café\, fish and chip shop\, hairdresser’s and a house based on the former home of artist Norman Cornish. \nAnother member business and Beamish Business Friend\, also proud of their property offering is Urban BASE\, The Property Professionals with over 30 years experience and a collection of properties across the North East\, full of character and charm. Thanks to event sponsor Urban Base we can enjoy a memorable evening in the 1950s Welfare Hall\, with an afternoon tea style buffet and carry on the Coronation celebrations. \n1950s attire is welcomed as we are transported back in time\, there’ll be an opportunity to have your hair styled and Beamish costume to try on too. \nDBC Members\, invited guests and Business Friends of Beamish only!

DESCRIPTION:Dalton Park Outlet Shopping Destination is not so much a hidden gem\, but the biggest outlet shopping destination in the North East\, with over 65 stores selling 200 different brands and designer labels. We’re delighted the centre management would like to host us in one of their popular cafes\, ETTO for a networking breakfast.\n\nWith a wide range of stores\, offering something to suit every taste. Highlights range from iconic and luxury brands\, including: Molton Brown\, Levi’s\, Ben Sherman\, athletic labels like New Balance and Adidas\, outdoor essentials including Regatta\, Mountain Warehouse and Trespass and high-street favourites such as M&S and Next.\n\n\nDue to the cafe opening hours\, we are starting at the earlier time of 8.30 am\, and will visit the Pollinator Park Garden\, opposite ETTO\, from 10 am.\nThis initiative was set up and garden transformed by DBC member Climate Action North. \n\nDBC Members & Guests Welcome!
